Every day begins with a visit to Needlepoint Destashing! Great for a mental health break during the day.

NEEDLENOOK OF LA JOLLA
Fabulous fibers!!! Each website visit transports me back to the shop.

SNUGGLY MONKEY
Unique fibers that inspire creativity. Ultimate resource for “thinking outside of the box.”

LOWERY WORKSTAND
Lowry stand website. Once you own one, you’ll ask yourself, “what took me so long.” Don’t’ forget to order the extra-long L-bar.

Jerri’s Favorite Tools

STELLA LIGHTING
The number one thing that every stitcher MUST have is excellent lighting. This is a non-negotiable. The Stella Two model is the most versatile. It is portable if you’re traveling to a seminar, but only if you’re driving. Once you’ve stitched with a Stella light, you’ll never go back.

LOWERY STAND and TABLE CLAMP
Working with a stand will take your stitching to the next level.

MAGNETS
It’s nice to have enough to keep a set on each work in progress.

NEEDLE TROLLY
My laying tool. I can’t stitch without it. It doubles as my pointer during class.

STITCH BLADE
As we sew, so shall we rip. Ripping is simply part of the process. Remove stitches safely without damaging your canvas.

ASSORTED EMBROIDERY SCISSORS
One pair for threads, one pair for metallics and one curved, sharp-pointed pair. Having the correct tool for the job is half the battle.

SHARP TWEEZERS
Rainbow Gallery makes a great pair. I’ve worn the gold finish off mine.

SBF
Stitchers Best Friend. Great for tying on loose ends and repairing finished projects. Mine is a size 22.

THREAD BOBBINS
I LOVE the ones from Hobby Lobby.

ARTBIN SUPER SACHEL
A stash is inevitable. Organize your stash from day 1!

GLUE STICK
Run the end of threads that like to untwist or unravel over the glue stick. You won’t believe the difference.

Jerri’s Library

THE NEEDLEPOINT BOOK by Jo Ippolito Christensen.

Needlepoint’s “bible.” If you only own one book, this is the one. Hint: Take your copy to OfficeMax and have it spiral bound.

FAVORITE STITCHES AND FAVORITE STITCHES 2 by Brenda Hart.

Brenda was a true visionary. If you want to see the master of open stitching, look no further.

STITCHES, VOLUME 1 through 5 by Ruth Schmuff.

Clear diagrams, easy to read, these books are the essential core of my library. Ruth is a true genius.

JUST STITCHES I USE and 176 AMAZING STITCHES TO UNLOCK CREATIVITY by Julia Snyder.

A perfect complement to the library. Check your local needlepoint store for a copy.
